> Chairman Zhou Hongjian Donates 300,000 SBT Shares to Shanghai Jiao Tong University
On the afternoon of November 16th, a donation signing ceremony for the establishment of the "SBT Fund" took place at the Administrative Building A on the Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Zhou Hongjian, Chairman of SBT and an alumnus of the class of 2004, generously donated 300,000 shares of SBT stock to his alma mater, with the aim of supporting the educational development of the School of Mechanical Engineering.
Prior to the donation ceremony, Yang Zhenbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, held a meeting with Zhou Hongjian and his delegation. Yang expressed gratitude for Zhou Hongjian's longstanding support and care for the university's educational endeavors. He emphasized the university's commitment to the comprehensive approach of "admissions-education-employment-alumni," and highlighted the invaluable contributions of alumni to the university's growth and achievements. The university intends to utilize this donation in accordance with the donor's wishes, to accelerate the transformation of the School of Mechanical Engineering into a world-class institution with distinctive Chinese characteristics.
During his speech, Zhang Ansheng acknowledged SBT as an outstanding alumni-led enterprise of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Many key members of the founding team are graduates of the School of Mechanical Engineering. Over the course of 16 years, SBT has achieved remarkable growth and development, emerging as a leader in the industry. Zhang expressed his hope for a mutually beneficial partnership between the university and SBT, fostering the integration of industry, academia, and research. The goal is to collaboratively address scientific research challenges, enhance original innovation capabilities, and elevate the quality of talent cultivation, ultimately making substantial contributions to the nation's pursuit of high-level technological self-reliance.
Du Zhaohui emphasized the significance of this donation, portraying it as a remarkable story of the university's support for the growth of alumni-led enterprises and the reciprocal support of enterprises towards the university's educational development. He also highlighted its importance as a significant tribute to the 110th anniversary of the School of Mechanical Engineering. Looking ahead, both parties are committed to deepening and expanding their cooperation and exchanges.
Expressing his gratitude for his alma mater's guidance and trust, Zhou Hongjian acknowledged that SBT, established 16 years ago, has undergone several office relocations, all in close proximity to the university. He considers himself to have been nurtured and raised at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Zhou recognized that SBT's success and listing would not have been possible without the support of his alma mater. He expressed his desire to further deepen scientific research cooperation with the university and attract talented students to join the company. SBT will continue to uphold its core values of "hard work, innovation, self-transcendence, and dedication to society," ensuring steady growth and development while actively contributing to the university's educational endeavors.
